The Largest Citywide Evangelistic Campaign in England in a Generation
In the summer of 2022, Festival Manchester marked a historic moment for the Gospel in England. Partnering with The Message Trust, more than 300 local churches, and over 1,100 volunteers, Palau helped lead the largest citywide evangelistic campaign the nation has seen in decades.
Over the course of 41 evangelistic events—including school outreaches, prison ministry, dinners for women and business leaders, homeless banquets, and community service projects—tens of thousands heard the Good News. The campaign culminated in a free three-day festival at Wythenshawe Park, featuring top musical artists, a kids-zone, skatepark, and daily Gospel presentations from Andrew Palau.
In total, more than 65,000 people were reached in person, with an additional 195,000 joining via the Spanish livestream. Over 4,800 individuals responded to the Gospel. Stories of life transformation came from every corner—women in the sex industry, school children, prisoners, business leaders, and long-time believers reignited in their faith.
The unity among churches and the powerful collaboration with civic leaders left a lasting spiritual impact on Manchester. Seeds were planted for ongoing ministry, with local congregations committed to discipleship and community outreach. Festival Manchester was more than an event—it was the beginning of a movement.
Well, always the dream is so much more than lots of people becoming Christians at Wythenshawe Park. That's amazing that could happen, but we want to see a whole region transformed. We want to see the spiritual climate change and it is happening in Manchester.

More than 65,000 people were reached in person with the Good News of Jesus through Festival Manchester.

Several hundred guests came out for the Business and Civic Leaders' Dinner where Andrew was able to share the hope he found in Jesus through his own story.

An evening of freestyle skate sessions, plenty of pizza and drinks, and live music led to one of the band members sharing his testimony about the true and lasting hope that Jesus offers to the group of about 75 people who had gathered.

Matt Redman attended the 1984 Mission to London, and upon hearing the Good News from Luis, gave his life to Christ. He led worship at Festival Manchester 38 years later.
