Love Aberdeen

Uniting Churches to Love a City

In Scotland, King’s Church in Aberdeen has been running Love Aberdeen since 2022, a week-long mission dedicated to sharing the love of Christ in tangible ways across the city. The annual outreach invites volunteers to serve in multiple areas from practical help like gardening and painting to prayer walking and street engagement resulting in a meaningful impact throughout the community. In August 2025, King’s Church hosted its latest Love Aberdeen outreach week, continuing to build momentum year after year. Love Aberdeen now brings together more than 400 volunteers, includes three kids’ clubs welcoming over 700 children, and has facilitated over 800 cups of tea and coffee shared during street outreach, alongside nine transformation projects offering support in schools, care homes, and public parks. This year, King’s Church also strengthened its partnerships with other local congregations, uniting churches across Aberdeen under the Love Aberdeen banner to work collaboratively on citywide outreach efforts. The mission emphasises serving practically and spiritually, from prayer and children’s programs to city centre engagement—demonstrating a broad commitment to loving and supporting the whole community.
