When the Church Steps Out Together

How churches, pastors and evangelists have worked together to reach new people with the Gospel in Albania.

Together with my wife, we pastor a church in Norway. It is so important that we don’t forget to reach out to new people, doing evangelism. We have been so focused on our self in western countries that we forget the people who are in desperate need of the Gospel.
It was marvellous to see the crowds who responded to the Gospel in Albania, it was definitely a proof of what the Bible says: the harvest is plentiful!
As a pastor we are focused on the church - and that is correct. We are longing to see new believers growing in faith. Sometimes when we are working together with different evangelists, the crowds grow quickly and we feel that we are losing control and we don’t have time with everybody, and we are ending up losing faith in going out so much or losing faith in different ways of doing festivals and outreach events.
My experience from Albania is different - churches, pastors, evangelist and different gifts working together in the kingdom of God.
I would say from my short time in Tirana, Albania, as a Norwegian pastor; let us stay together, working together, helping each other with our different gifts. So that we can reach out further with the Gospel. Let the Holy Spirit take the control. And let us help new believers, if they want to be trained. So, they can reach other new believers where they live. Then we will see the fulfilment of the word of God.
